The StorNext FX2 License for Windows SAN Clients from Quantum enables you to increase productivity and consolidate storage throughout their entire organization. StorNext FX2 acts as a gateway for high speed data sharing linking servers with different operating systems to Xsan 2 storage environments. With StorNext FX2 applications running on almost any platform can share data with Apple Xsan 2 environments without having to pass files over slow network connections. StorNext FX2 supports a broad array of Windows Linux and UNIX platforms enabling customers to preserve choice and integrate bestofbreed applications running on a wide variety of platforms in an Xsan 2 environment. As data levels increase Xsan 2 environments can be migrated to Quantum's StorNext which reduces the cost and complexity of long term data retention. Using the iMover technology StorNext automatically moves digital assets to a secondary storage tier for cost control based on user defined policies. File location is virtualized eliminating the complexity of moving and accessing data from different locations. StorNext also performs a variety of data protection services to guarantee that data is safeguarded both onsite and offsite. This product includes a serial number and warranty and is used with the initial order for StorNext FX 2. StorNext FX 2 clients are not compatible with Xsan controller version 1.4.2 and earlier.
