I originally bought this for the Squeeze Center add-on and to house my .mp3 files. I've since found it to be a great way to network photos and documents throughout my house. I've found the speed to be a bit slow when I transfer files, but that's more an inconvenience than a flaw. I like that it can email you error messages and you can set the timer to have it startup and shutdown at certain times. Fan is a bit noisy. Just purchased a second hard drive to add for backup. It appears to be a pretty easy to do.
