I have also recently been tasked with deploying this device for my organisation..Initial testing was extremely frustrating when using an XP based server but it worked smoothly on a win 2003 Enterprise server. The only difficulty now is getting the upgrade patches automatically and timely. So far I've had to manually point to a downloaded version to initiate upgrade. Still though the upgrade only covers admin console functionality and not quality.I have resolved the issue of XP server initiation by removing windows HOTFIX but still maintaining my firewall as I'm not a great fan of Windows update anyways. All else seems fine, incluive of all plug and play devices.

I have 2 of these units connected to a XP pro workstation running the server app. Everything worked fine until a new windows update was applied then the terminals would no longer connect. After uninstalling the windows hotfix the units went back to functioning properly. Still no updates that address the problem with the windows update but for the price and features these do exactly what we need them to do. We are using wireless optical mice and keyboards on both units with no problems.

Seems to work as stated. Despite the other reviewers comments, this works very well with optical mice. Video... could be better however it is acceptable. Plans are to outfit the rest of our network with this device. I would hope ncomputing would add a gigabit port though???? How about it where is the gigabit edition?
