Not a bad little unit. I bought this to replace a computer which I was using as net storage and FTP. I wanted something I could run 24/7 that would cut back on energy usage. Some reviews here say it doesn't have a fan, I'm pretty sure it does, you can hear it and feel air flow on the right side of the unit, in fact it's a little louder than I had hoped, if that's not the case for you, you should get the unit replaced. Others say it wont support more that 500gb/drive, that is also no longer the case, linksys has released a FW update which I highly recommend installing first day. I will agree that speed can be improved, large files are transferred at about 30mb/s. Also there is a feature that should put the drives to sleep when thay are inactive for a certain period, which I'm not sure is working.
