Hiro H23534 56k V.92 Data/Fax/Voice PCI Modem

I had absolute hell trying to get this modem to work on my windows 98SE operating system but after 4 hours of frustration, countless freezes, nearly about to return it, I eventually got it to work. My connection speed went from 28.8 kbps on my old V90 modem to 36 kbps on this V92 modem. Dont even attempt to install this if you are short on time or dont have an afternoon to kill. The autorun file on the CD does not work for installing the drivers. I had to install everything manually from the CD by opening all of the folders and subfolders and clicking on setup icons. The instructions are on the CD in the manual folder, nothing provided on paper, and the CD instructions are pretty much useless anyway. On the modem there are two jack outlets, must plug cord into line, not into phone jack to get a dial tone, they dont tell us this either. FYI: the Hiro tech department number is NOT toll free (909) 595-8086.
