Summary

The FiberInspector Mini and Cleaning Kit from Fluke is useful in examining installed fiber terminations or ensure terminations are smooth and clean. The FiberInspector Mini Video Microscope puts the solution onto the contaminated endfaces to maintain optical connections clean and free of contaminants. The 200x magnification probe enables inspection of both multimode and singlemode endfaces inside ports and on patch cords. You can simply insert the probe and inspect installed fiber connectors through the bulkhead adapters without any need to handle the patch panels. Using a video microscope you are rest assured that no harmful laser light ever reaches your eyes. In addition to that the various probe adapter tips allow for inspection through different connector port types. This device features a 1.8" screen display for sharp imagery. Furthermore the grip trigger mode extends battery life by showing only images. Additional proper fiber optic endface cleaning involves two key components specialized solvent and lintfree wipes or swabs. If necessary repeat your cleaning steps to remove any lingering soils not removed by the first cycle. With all these features and more the FiberInspector Mini offers a convenient video microscope that enables endface inspection inside ports and patch cords.
