This modem is a junk the box says for win98se,me,2000,xp is dose not work in win98se and me there are no drivers on the cd for win98se,me,2000 i would not even give this for free let alone pay for it

Just purchased a new 56HP Modem and it will not work with my new HP-5750 computer running Windows XP Professional. Spoke to the Best Data customer service twice trying to resolve the problem and they finally gave up and said ''return the modem and try another model''. It was very nice to speak to a human that speaks good English. However, I do NOT RECOMMEND buying this product!

This appears to be a very good modem for the price. It runs well under Windows but have not tried it with Kubuntu yet.
