better integration needed w MS & AT&T

Pros:

Keyboard/peripherals, Display resolution, Screen size, Display performance, Weight
Cons: Included Software, Software compatibility

From a hardware perspective, the ThinkPad SL400 works great and looks great. But the integration between hardware & software needs much improvement. Vista sucks, it starts slow and sometimes takes 15+ minutes to shut down, it is less intuitive than earlier W versions, and bombs so frequently while connected to the internet that its not really usable for business. This brings me to the built in AT&T wireless. It is convenient, but it's not available everywhere and it works much, much slower than DSL everywhere I've used it. The Vista bombs occur about every 15 minutes while using AT&T. Also, AT&T uses their wireless message system to send important info to users and the Lenovo cannot receive these messages.

Very reliable

Pros:

Processor, Memory, Storage, Input/Output compatibility, Keyboard/peripherals, Wireless card, Display resolution, Screen size, Display performance, Video card, Weight, Included software, Software compatibility, Durability, Warranty, Support, Security Features
Cons: Battery, Build Quality

So far I have not had any problems. It works great and I felt really comfortable purchasing from lenovo because I have only heard great things about their technical support. If you want a computer that is reliable, Lenovo is the way to go.
