Lenovo customer for life

Pros:

Processor, Memory, Storage, Input/Output compatibility, Keyboard/peripherals, Wireless card, Display resolution, Screen size, Display performance, Bluetooth, Weight, Battery, Included software, Software compatibility, Durability, Warranty, Support, Security Features, Build Quality

I bought an r-series a few months ago because I was looking for a dependable computer to run computer science software and I have been very pleased with the purchase. The one I bought has: t8100 processor, 3gb ram, xp pro, 160gb @7200 rpm hard drive, 15.4" screen, and 9-cell battery. It is quick, dependable, and will run for 6-7hrs. on a full charge. The best computer I've ever owned. Also, if you're sick of speaking with overseas tech support, I'll say this. I had a problem 2 months in with the button sticking on the nav pad of mine so I called their support center about it. Within 4 minutes I was speaking to an actual person who spoke clear english, not only that, the part was a customer replaceable unit ( and I've had A+ training) so I didn't have to bother sending mine in to have it serviced( and losing use of it for a week), they just sent the part to me and I sent the defective one back. The best part of all is that I called at about 4p.m. on a thursday and by the next evening, the replacement part was here. I couldn't believe it. While, that part shouldn't have failed so soon(it happens occasionally for every brand), Lenovo's service(alone), quality, and dependability since then have made me a customer for life.

Great workhorse computer

Pros:

Processor, Memory, Storage, Input/Output compatibility, Keyboard/peripherals, Wireless card, Display resolution, Screen size, Display performance, Durability
Cons: Weight, Included Software

I really like the wide screen because I do a lot of writing and reading articles online. My kids and I have watched movies, so I don't feel like its a big sacrifice from a desktop. I wouldn't want to carry a widescreen on a commute, but for working from different places in the house, its great.
durable, well built, reliable

Pros:

Processor, Input/Output compatibility, Keyboard/peripherals, Screen size, Display performance, Battery, Included software, Durability, Build Quality
Cons: Memory, Storage, Display resolution, Weight, Warranty

I would reccommend to anyone wanting a very reliable well built computer to last a long time.
I have had thinkpads since they were introduced and all have been very high performing units.
