About the same size as most 9" NetBooks but Lenovo gives you 10"
Better build quality, better design, and easier to upgrade then just about any other notebook.
Notable MORE expensive then most over netbooks for the money though. Most will give you more memory, bigger hard driver, larger battery, and Blue-Tooth for what Lenovo charges for theirs.
At least the user can upgrade the memory, hard-drive, and Blue-Tooth themselves if they really want the Lenovo design and are willing to pay extra for it.
However Lenovo REALLY NEEDS to at least offer a 6 or 9-cell battery if not ship the Ideapad S10 with one. The 3-cell only last 2-3hrs and most other Netbook manufacturers ship there units with 6-cells for less month then what Lenovo charges.
Overall it's a great product, a bit pricey, and a few weeknesses. But I paid the preminum and just upgraded everything that came with it since the base configuration is TOO LIMITED.
An option for Linux instead of Windows would be EXCELLENT as well.
Pros: Superb design and build quality. Runs OSX REALLY well. Awesome design. Can get 3rd party 9-cell battery for HUGE battery life. Matte screen is perfect, VERY bright. Decent keyboard, easily got used to it for touch typing
Cons: Preloaded software on windows was annoying. Trackpad is small.
I Am a LONG time Thinkpad User & I Really Like Smaller Laptops so when I looked for a Netbook Lenovo was the Obvious choice.. I Do have two Issues.. When I recieved the Computer and turned it on it came up with Windows vista loaded Asking for a Password.. The one I recieved was Someones Return,, The other was Why didnt they use a Trackpoint on this little thing instead of the Touchpad it would Be a Natural Choice..
