A venerable little laptop!

As a long-running HP user (From a old Windows 98 Compaq Presario to a High-end desktop and a MediaSmart LX195), HP's products have always been incredible, and the HP TouchSmart tx2z is no different. With a excellent Hardware-to-size ratio, the tx2z is just the road juggernaut i've been looking for. Although the handwriting recognition isn't perfect, it still does a great job of reading my handwriting (which is bad enough to send even a doctor reeling). This little guy packs quite a punch, with great specs and light weight. And, unlike my old netbook it has a DVD drive! This laptop is small, but not so small it's not too hard for me to use (i have homer simpson fingers). OEMs ("Original Equipment Manufacturer": I.E HP and Other Companies) aren't normally my thing, but i've never got a bad computer from HP, a trend that has continued with the TX2Z. However, i must say that a little too much junkware (Trials, OEM extras, etc.) is included, though. Who says great things can't come in small packages?

HP TouchSmart tx2-1375dx Review

I recently purchased the HP TouchSmart tx2-1375dx, and I am absolutely thrilled. I have had my eye on it for a very long time, and when my old one broke, I took the opportunity.

Features
=======
The multi-touch screen and the digitizerboth work great, and are easy to use and clean using the microfiber cloth included with the product. All you need to do is use the cloth and all of the fingerprints and pen marks are gone.

The built-in fingerprint reader is an excellent addition to this computer. All you need to do is swipe your finger and you are logged in.

The product's weight of 4.65 lbs. makes it a great choice for a student or a frequent traveler, and the screen size - 12.1" - is not too small, and not too big.

The display swivel is sturdy, it doesn't wobble, and it feels secure when rotating the screen.

The HP TouchSmart interface streamlines the multi-touch function of the computer. It has several applications to choose from, and you can easily operate the controls using only your fingers.
Additionally, the music function of it can utilize your iTunes library so that you don't need to go back and forth organizing your music multiple times.

Its battery life is phenominal for a 6-cell battery. I haven't quite put it to the ultimate test yet, but I have gotten 3.5 hours out of it already. With a little more tuning down, you could probably get 4 or even 4.5 hours out of it.

That being said, the battery has its advantages and disadvantages- since it sticks out about 3/4 of an inch, it makes a nice place to grip when in slate mode, or even carrying it in notebook mode. However, it makes finding a case rather difficult. I bought a 12.1" case for it, but it didn't fit because of the battery. I would recommend a 13.3" case, as a 13" case that I tried didn't quite fit. I ordered the 13.3" case from HP, so we'll see how it works out.

Overall:
This is a great PC for you if you need something light and powerful for school or business. The tablet function is really good for taking notes or jotting down the quick idea.

I would recommend this product to anybody, because its functions apply to everybody, and everyone could use one.
