Love It!

I love this laptop-I had been thinking about getting a tablet for a while, and I'm glad I finally did. It's a perfect combination of a regular laptop and touchscreen.

Finger motions are a bit clunky, but the pen is awesome. I usually use it with the regular screen position, but the tablet style is great for working on projects with other people.

The screen doesn't seem small, even though I was downsizing from a 16 inch. The battery is good-with an 8 cell I have enough time to get through classes-but it's not great, and the power saver setting is hard to see.

It's not loud at all, butI have to concur with other reviewers that it can get somewhat warm.

Overall, it's a great deal-if you want a tablet that works well for a reasonable price, this is it!

Even better than expected

I spent several weeks researching the reviews, reading the forum posts, and looking at other tablet pc's. I even went by best buy 4 or more times to look at the display model. I refuse to spend this kind of money without knowing that I am getting my moneys worth. The kicker for me was when best buy changed up the display so you could see the computer in tablet mode. That is what makes this laptop worth every penny. Windows 7 runs like a top on this machine. I am writing this right now on a tx2z with windows 7 rc and I couldn't be happier. The only worries I had were with the screen and the fan noise, neither of which are of any concern now that I have it. All laptops have fans, this one is no different. The screen is not as bad as the descriptions I read about it. I do not notice anything negative about it and I do not even worry what I have seen described. No buyers remorse or regret here. I am not an avid gamer or a power user, but I am an advanced user. I have not run into any problems with this setup. Thanks HP!

I,ve had the Touch Smart Laptop for 2 weeks and Use it A lot at work and for taking notes at school. I so love it and havent had ANY problems of it getting hot, IT is not loud, I love the fingerprint access, pretty cool , it might take a few practice lessons but hey what doesnt take a little learning. I would recommend this laptop, IT IS THE BOMB>>> YEAH I SAID IT . I want to buy one for my daughter when she starts college....
