Very Sexy

A very sexy little machine indeed. My last laptop was purchased in '03 so tech has changed quite a bit since then, but what this machine has I dont think any other laptop has. It has classic lines and serious chrome designed etching and under the hood. The new i7 is blazing fast. The hugh screen is fabuluous for watching blu-ray formatted movies not to mention the seroiously fast refresh rates for great action flicks and sports. I just took it out of the box not 2 hours ago or I would have more to say. Thanks H.P. !

dv7 Quad w/8GB RAM, TV Tuner, Win 7 Pro

In general laptops have lagged behind in performance relative to their workstation counterparts. The HP dv7 quad seems to break that rule. If you are planning to upgrade and want to downsize but still want the power to "do the needful" then jump into the fast lane with this jewel. This is a really sweet laptop and there are plenty of productivity options that will help you get full use out of your investment. The graphics are spectacular viewing Hulu or using the TV tuner (best option of the package IMHO). I watch high def TV straight off the cable and it is crystal clear. I suggest getting a dock if you have more than a LAN cable and external keyboard/mouse to plug in. I also have external peripherals and speakers/subwoofer but with the jacks on the front of the laptop you really need a dock. The xb4 seems to be the best deal for my needs. I just ordered it. It comes with wireless keyboard and mouse. This is the best setup I have ever had and it is portable to boot. Thumbs up to HP for getting in tune with what the user community really needs.
