Could not stop myself to write this Review.
I just received my dv6t Quad yesterday (Three days earlier than mentioned delivery date on my Purchase Order).
My Quad configs are:
Genuine Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
• Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-720QM Quad Core processor (1.6GHz, 6MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 2.8 GHz
• 4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
• FREE Upgrade to 500GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
• 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 320M - For i7 Processors
• 15.6" diagonal High Definition LED HP Brightview Widescreen Display (1366x768)
• LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-RW with Double Layer Support
• Webcam + Microphone
• Intel Wireless-N Card with Bluetooth
• HP Integrated HDTV Hybrid Tuner
• HP Color Matching Keyboard
• High Capacity 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery

Simply Amazing Investment.Good to have in this Price.I was worried about Battery Life, but It was OK as I did test drive running Movie for Three hours on Battery (High Cap) and recharged again and did test again doing my office work (non media e.g. MS Office) for almost Four hrs.

Good to have TV tuner and you will be really amazed with Window Media Center.

Little bit Bulky but I won't consider it Negative. Guys, Go for it..

Still Exploring new opportunities with Windows 7.....Hope to get good reviews like XP...

Impressed to say the least !

After months and months of research of many different laptops, I ended up choosing this one. Let me tell you, this thing is amazing ! There are other reviews saying that the trackpad is off center or something like that, it is a little to the left but there is no difference than a trackpad on a 14". The charger is a little big but it is to be expected because of the quad core. Battery life is a little short, I get an 1 1/2 to 2 hours on it but I could care less because I always have it at home. I download the Microsoft Office Ultimate and with in 12 minutes it was done. The display is also clear, bright and vibrant. It is a fingerprint magnet and again, I could care less. I wouldn't have bought the laptop if it was that big of a deal. The number pad on left is useful at times. The are some parts that are a little jagged on the sides of the laptop, but not a deal breaker what so ever. The touch control at the top are very responsive. The trackpad is actually a little textured and not mirrored like other models. I like it better. The laptop gets a little warm but that was only because the battery was low while charging it and I was on skype. I had multiple applications up and there was no lag what so ever. I was downloading 10 songs, on skype, watching a video on youtube and on facebook. Went through it like a breeze. Overall this computer is very nice. The color as well is nice. I'd say if your into anything that this would do the job !

Exceeded EVERY high expectation i had. AWESOME!!

My dv6 quad edition came a few days ago and ive spent a good 20 plus hours on it. DONT hesitate if your on the fense on this one let me tell ya. I was truly worried about the GT230m not running modern games well....WRONG. Mass Effect 2 runs maxed out and is well over 50fps. Not only that the fan..barely makes noise at all. Another big concern for me was fan noise. I had a laptop in the past that would scream when you attempted to run games. Not the case here. The quad core is amazing....I didnt expect even web browsing get so much faster between now and my 1 year old laptop. Its truly a huge difference. I love that i can drop a full 3d hardcore game to check my email press the windows button and jump right back into the game seemlessly. The battery life on the standard 6 cell is low. Its a powerhouse processor though. 2 hours is about what i was getting doing normal web browsing. Better than i expected still. The power supply is NOT a deal breaker...man these other reviews had me worried I was getting a 2 x 4 power supply when its really a half inch wider and the same length as every other power supply. Again expected for the processor. If i was pinned down and forced to say bad things about this laptop. I'd have to get real nit picky and say the keys are flat and feel out of place on a high finish laptop like this one. If you purchase the new white one though that is eliminated. The processor only received a 6.2 for a windows rating when i have seen the core i7 720 get a 7 before. Im assuming something to do with the turbo not being in use when the test is ran. Other than that why are you not buying this laptop now. Stop reading and Buy it! the sound is good the fingerprint reader is a nice feature for 25 bucks i could go on and on. HP did a great job.
