Lightweight with great features

Lightweight, great specs, and exceptional battery life. Double battery life of my bigger DV6000 with comparable specs. Exterior finish is very attractive as well.

Awesome Laptop

I was looking for light travel notebook with long battery life and lots of power on the go to supplement my heavier / luggable i7 laptop. Mine is configured with the SP9300 / 4GB ram, Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, 500 GB 7200, wireless with Bluetooth. I was somewhat concerned about the touchpad, but there are no issues, in fact if one varies the sensitivities from the defaults it performs as well or better than other touchpads. Battery life has been around the 6-7 hour range when travelling. Screen resolution is excellent. The dm3t is solidly built with a sleek brushed metallic finish. The keyboard is also exceptional with space between the keys, unlike other laptops where it is very easy to hit the adjacent key (typical of flat keyboards without spacing. I am used to responsive / powerful machines and this notebook lives up to all of its claims. Would highly recommend this as an excellent business / corporate notebook. Good job HP!!!!

HP got this one right...

I'm thoroughly impressed with this product. My configuration has the Intel SP9300 processor, 4 GB RAM, Dual-band N with Bluetooth, and 250 GB HDD. It boots up very quickly, which is great for a student constantly moving from class to class. There is absolutely no flex to the laptop. I have had absolutely no problem with the touchpad unlike many other reviewers.

My only suggestion to HP would be to offer a slim USB Blu-ray disk player to go along with this model as an accessory. I'll be looking for a USB DVD drive to use; as I won't need it very often, I didn't want an internal one adding to both the weight and size of the machine.

I've used this machine for Skype. The webcam isn't the best, but I think it will suffice for 95% of the people out there. I know I will be using it quite a bit myself and don't forsee it giving me any problems. The internal microphone also works flawlessly for video messaging.

I'm very glad I have the Bluetooth option. I've used it a lot to sync my phone and headset. It was worth the extra money.

In terms of drawbacks... the touchpad picks up fingerprints pretty easily. I'm sorry, but this is something, with which I will totally be able to live. I love how the touchpad still has area dedicated to a slider on the side. This feature is something that other new laptops lack.

I did a lot of research into different laptops before I ordered this one. I can say that I don't regret my purchase in the least so far. It seems like a laptop that is built to last. The metal chasis is what sold me on it.
