I have to admit this is a very nice Huge Laptop something I always wanted. I highly recommend building the unit, and doing some additional upgrades if you can afford. The sound on this unit is amazing. This units has enough ports for everyone and love the dual headphone jack, you dont realize how important it is till you need it. My Only complaint was the volume control I had to have my unit exchanged because the volume would go up and down on it's on. Also Bluetooth and Wifi would turn on and off. It's believe there was a problem with the touch panel, however I still recommend it just play with the touch panel before you start uploading all your thins to it. Also the lid does not clik close that might be a bother to some or might not just ensure you get a freat case to hold this beast nice and snug. Have fun with you new unit...I am!

I received my laptop back in January and haven't had a single problem with it. The screen is bright and crystal clear, but only goes to full brightness when you have it plugged in. Fingerprint reader works like a charm, I have only had to clean it off once since I got it. The Nvidea 9800m is capable of playing the most demanding current games at high-max setting, only having to turn some settings down while taking on Crysis. Web cam is great and works well under all conditions. When I first looked at the thing, I thought I would be getting finger prints all over, but that is not the case. The designs on the case are truly beautiful and very nice step up from any other laptop I have seen available from other companies. The Altec-Lansing 2.1 speakers are perfectly clear and can be turned up extremely loud without any crackling. Dual headphone jacks are also a nice touch. The media remote works great; I have used it for power point presentations, changing songs from a distance, and pausing/re-winding movies when watching from a distance with a group of people. Four USB jacks are more than enough for my needs (one of the USB jacks is within a eSATA port, which took me a few days to notice.) The only complaint I have is the volume control. If the controls even show up on the screen when you press the button, they play their own sound that continues on for a bit after you have stopped pressing the button. All of the other media control buttons work perfectly. A lesser complaint that doesn't bother me much is that their is no lock for the screen when you close it. This isn't really much of an issue, since it does resist opening again. Having it open when you don't want it to is not an issue. No Blu-Ray burner available at time of purchase. I have yet to use the Blu-Ray player, for lack of having a Blu-Ray movie.

This has been the best lap top i have ever used. I had my laptop customized and it did not disappoint. The 18" monitor is absolutely stunning. The HD Tuner works wonderful. The Blueray is eye popping and the sound is top of the line. I upgraded the processor to the t9550 and the upgrades were second to none. HP delivered when they said they would. I had a computer expert friend of mine look at this model and help me get rid of all the "bloatware" it took 10 minutes there was practically none at all. He was so jealous of the speed and precision of this unit. Get your HP customized its well worth it. This laptop is an absolute beauty top to bottom. I would recommend it to anyone.
