G60 Rocks

The G60 is my third laptop from HP and they have all been great. I have never had a problem with any of them. I did a processor upgrade to the Core2Duo 8700, 4 GB RAM, LCD HD screen and Vista 64 Bit OS. Was not sure I wantesd to do early version of Windows 7 and I purchased this one just before 7 was released so I would get the Windows 7 upgrade offer. Just did the Windows 7 upgrade last weekend and no problems what so ever. This computer runs very cool. The fan hardly runs at all and battery life is about 3 hours if you break in in properly. I plan to purchsae a skin to cover the G60 because the glossy black finish is a real magnet for fingerprints. That is my only concern. HP is rock solid as far as I'm concerned.

Awesome

I ve owned this laptop for about two weeks now and I love it.
Runs great - no problems with set up. Arrived a day earlier than the shipping tracking indicated. Nice to have the wireless convenience around the house..it goes with me everywhere!
Windows 7 is quite different tfrom XP but not any showstoppers as far as finding my way around. Gotta' expect a little learning curve. I have recommended this to friends of mine who were leary about going to 64 bit.
I hafd to download some new print drivers to get my old printer up printer running but that was a minor inconvenience. Go for it !
