I have only had this laptop for a short while.I am a Freelance photographer,working mainly front of stage so I use my laptop for reviewing my pictures.As you can imagine I need a computer to be reliable and robust as it does have to work in some wierd places IE under the actual stage the only place I can access and download the pictures quickly, without having to gain access to the security office all the time. So far I am very impressed with this machine, both with it's speed and it's very good screen. When working with large picture files it down loads very quickly from the camera the excellent screen makes the pictures stand out. Any alterations to the pictures are made a lot easier with this clarity.I do not usually edit on a laptop but with this machine it is quite easy to make simple allterations in the field,prior to me transmitting the pictures via the net.I imagine that having the seperate graphics card helps with the speed of this computer in relation to handling large files,although not being a computer buff I cannot say for certain just my opinion.I will be increasing the ram and fitting a larger hard drive,although that is just for my work.This computer works extremely well out of the box and should give it's owner many happy years of fun. I added 4Gb of memory to this and it is one of my favorite laptops i have a viao which works well but this compaq leaves it in the dust the compaq is faster the screen is sharper and the speakers are awesome this is one great computer
