It's big and it's quiet. Very powerful machine with a lot of room for expandability. If you're looking for something to keep around for several years, this would be your machine. I'm a mulitmedia junkie and this has 4 HDD bays! Go with the 1GB NVIDIA GT card. Great system! Clean build, doesn't have any trial software!
I purchased this computer about 6-8 weeks ago. I am handicapped and this tower is much heavier than my previous one. I upgraded all of the hardware in configurations and use Windows Vista Home Premium with 8 GB RAM. I purchased a software after I set up the computer because I was not confident in the pre installed software. Big mistake on my part. I just opened HP's pre installed software and it is every bit as good (I think better) than what I purchased. Yesterday I put togather a very large photo slide show and the software warned me that I had exceeded the recommended limits and that it might take a very long time to encode and burn to disk and might not turn out well. The computer performed the task easily and quickly. I would recommend you purchase the Personal Media Drive and Bay in configurations to ensure you have the bay built into your new computer if that is what you expect. I can't imagine myself being able to use this computer to anywhere near it's capabilities but it is very comforting now to know I can rely on it's performance. My wife has found she prefers pre installed software over some she had purchased also. Be sure to explore what you have before adding software.
This a great unit with hardly any Bloatware. It was also delivered ahead of schedule. It is big, but quiet. I purchased the 22 inch monitor with it and that thing is BEAUTIFUL! All in All, this is a solid desktop and I couldn't be more happy with the service from HP.
