I recently purchased a Pavilion a6750t, and couldn't be happier!
PROS: * Solid performance, QUIET operation, attractive enclosure, and good energy efficiency.
CONS: * With two optical drives and a hard drive, there are no available power connectors. Adding an extra hard drive later would mean unplugging a DVD drive or upgrading the power supply. * Wish it had Wake on LAN feature.
I decided to go custom.,I chose the a6750t 64-bit Vista Premium PC.I purchased most all of the options available I highly recommend the quad system, as well as the largest ram and memory you can afford. This machine is exstreamly FAST! I am not much of a gamer;however using a large dedicated graphics card works the best , with this card the 3-D feels as though one could reach out and touch what ever is at the other end. This combination along with my 22" HD moniter, HD printer ,lazer mouse and lazer keyboard,HD web cam, and of course my 300 watt sound system, allows this PC to really screem! The VistaPremium operating system is not dificult to navigate. The tech site was extremely helpful, precise and to the point. One important pointer,REMEMBER to back up your old computer files. With the utility migrting cable, the process took about 1 hour to change over to the new PC.The down loading of the new software went smoothly and everything runs precisely! Thanks HP for another excellant product.
I get the machine with a Core 2 Quode Q8200 cpu, 4 GB memory, and ATI HD 4650 512M graphic card. It's runing like flying. The machine is well designed and well made.
I'm a loyal HP user! And this one doesn't disappoint me! I recommend the multi-media keyboard for this model, so that you can easily reject and close your DVD Rom.
Vista 64-bit is a little headache if you were using XP for a long time like me, but it runs great once you get used to it! I share files and a HP printer with a XP system HP Compaq laptop without any problem.
