Bought the unit to centralize power distribution for my SOHO system and to add some order to the power cabling. Vertically oriented sockets are convenient for the numerous adapters/transformers in a typical home system. Unit is solid in spite of the off-shore manufacturing. Lighted switch with cover is useful to prevent accidental turn-off. External ground pin available, just in case. Happy with unit so far. Only downside may be the sockets themselves. When removing an adapter, some socket face plates have moved out approximately 1/16 to 1/4 inches but return to a normal position once the connection is released. Unless one is doing continuous insertion and removal, this is a good unit.
