Excellent drive. The first reviewer should have checked out the limits of his machine and bios. True, most older machines will not recognize the larger hard drives, but that is not the fault of this excellent hard drive. I copied my 160gb drive to this one i set up externally, then replaced the 160 with this one. Bang, it worked like a charm and faster too as expected. So it works in brand new laptops too (other than PS3 upgrades :+)).

Beware--if you don't have a fairly new machine, this drive won't work. I bought one and my computer won't find it.
